Introducing smART Decorative Arts Original Artworks

Hello Folks!

In today’s post I will continue with the ‘introducing’ theme, by giving you an overview of smART Decorative Arts - Original Artworks.

All the artworks available from smART Decorative Arts, are created by yours truly. I take inspiration for my original paintings, prints, and crafts from my work as a conservator and heritage consultant. Since 2009 I have trained and worked to conserve, restore, and reinstate, some of the nations most beautiful and important, historic interiors and objects. The combination of this experience with my earlier training as a fine artist, are used to create my abstract fine art and decorative arts pieces.

My work seeks to portray the beauty and lustre of historic decorative surfaces. The appealing aesthetics or natural decay, patina, and age.

If you would like to learn a little more about me and how smART Decorative Arts came into being, check out the ‘About’ section using the link below.

Original Artworks

Over the last year I have been carefully honing the techniques for, what have become, my three current studio styles; the Uncovered, Unearthed and Uninhibited series.

In late February I was getting ready to launch the smART Decorative Arts store; however, the Covid-19 pandemic began to take hold around the world and the resulting lockdown put paid to this idea, for a little while at least. Initially this was a bit of a blow; the ensuing lockdown meant that fulfilling orders, and organising dispatch and delivery, would sadly be near impossible. However; I was determined not to let it stop me (which, if I’m being really honest took a huge amount of ‘have a word with yourself’, after a good week of Netflix and other on-demand TV binging!). I decided to plough on with my creative endeavours, so as to be ready with a fully stocked store when things started to get back to normal.

As well as being afforded some uninterrupted creative time to trial new techniques, finish current pieces, and start several new ones, I also began using the last month or so to research print on demand services. And as such I am very pleased to be able to announce that smART Decorative Arts have signed up with Fine Art America.

I am now able to offer fine art prints with a range of paper options, a vast array of framing possibilities, and canvas, metal, wood, and acrylic print options, for some of my best loved original pieces. In addition to this you can also get your hands on posters, gift cards, home and interior decor products, and even phone cases, all sporting my individual signature studio styles.

All prints, home decor, and lifestyle products will now be fulfilled by Fine Art America, but can be purchased direct from the website store or from the FAA site following the links below.

It may still be a little while before I can begin to effectively and efficiently ship original paintings and other large works, but I will keep you posted on progress. However; if you would like to make enquires about the originals for any of the prints currently available or are interested in a commission, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
